PrenotaOra: the new family of online solutions dedicated to restaurants and appointment-based businesses

Ecco la traduzione in inglese dell’articolo:

Italiaonline, the Italian AI digital company, announces the launch of PrenotaOra, the new family of online booking solutions dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises. It includes PrenotaOra Ristoranti, designed for the restaurant industry, and PrenotaOra Servizi, dedicated to appointment-based businesses such as doctors, opticians, gyms, beauty salons, estheticians, veterinarians, and auto repair shops.

PrenotaOra – and this is what sets it apart from other booking systems – is not an isolated product. It arrives natively integrated with MARiO, Italiaonline’s AI-based call assistant, as well as with all of the business’s digital channels. As a result, every booking ends up in the same calendar, regardless of the channel it originates from.

PrenotaOra’s native integration with MARiO is its main strength. The assistant answers calls and chat messages and registers bookings directly into the calendar, even after hours or when the business owner is busy with clients. Today, most standard booking systems do not connect easily and quickly to third-party virtual assistants. Italiaonline, on the other hand, develops both the booking platform and the AI assistant, directly controlling MARiO’s integration and configuration while ensuring its smooth operation—without requiring the business owner to piecemeal tools from different vendors.

PrenotaOra is available immediately across all touchpoints where customers search for and choose a business: the website, InRete (Italiaonline’s digital marketing platform for SMEs), and the Google Business Profile. For restaurants, there is also integration with Reserve with Google, which allows customers to book a table directly from Search and Maps. All bookings, regardless of source channel, are managed from a single dashboard.

The two products cater to different operational needs—table and seat management for restaurants, and staff selection alongside calendar scheduling for appointment-based services—yet they share the same philosophy: ease of use and full autonomy for the business owner. Plus, zero commission fees.

With PrenotaOra Ristoranti, customers book a table in just a few clicks, choosing the date and time from real-time availability. The platform also includes a digital menu, automated notifications, and calendar management designed to optimize seating capacity.

With PrenotaOra Servizi, customers independently choose the service, the professional they wish to see (if the service is provided by multiple staff members), the date, and time—from mobile or desktop at any hour—and receive an automatic confirmation. Each professional has their own personal calendar synchronized with the system. This allows them to check their bookings and daily schedule without accessing the main dashboard, which remains available to the owner to manage services, calendars, and customer communications.

PrenotaOra – unlike the majority of platforms on the market – charges no commissions and gives entrepreneurs and professionals full freedom over discounts and promotions. Onboarding and activation are handled seamlessly by Italiaonline.

Given the still low level of digital maturity among Italian SMEs, the majority of bookings are still handled over the phone. This results in wasted time, unanswered after-hours calls, and lost customers who take their business elsewhere. According to SchedulingKit*, small business owners spend an average of 7.4 hours per week manually managing bookings. Conversely, businesses that switch to structured online scheduling record revenues that are 27% higher compared to traditional phone management.

“People making a booking don’t ask themselves what the right channel is: they call, write, search on Google, or open the website,” comments Roberto Pierri, Chief Web & Media Services Officer at Italiaonline. “With PrenotaOra, every request reaches the exact same calendar, even when MARiO, our AI assistant, answers the phone. We can achieve this because we develop every component of the ecosystem—from the booking platform to the artificial intelligence and the business’s overall online presence—and because behind the technology stands an Italian team guiding the entrepreneur from setup to customer support. All without commissions and without handing over customer relationships to third parties: to us, making the digital transformation of SMEs accessible means exactly this.”
