italian specs

The CPC Multisize O&O format mixes Standard IAB display formats and proprietary Native IOL formats.
All URLs, redirects and tracking must be provided in https. Any NON-https materials will be excluded from delivery.
Send the creativity via mail performance@italiaonline.it with a copy of the Italiaonline Sales Account at least 3 working days before publication. In the subject of the emails, indicate order ID and description (Ex: LB_012345 – Advertiser name Product name Month/Year); if the order ID is missing, indicate the description (see details in the creativity policy).

Formats: IAB standard display

The mix includes 7 standard IAB display formats of which at least 3 are mandatory. Italiaonline recommends producing all of them or alternatively the minimum set of those that offer the best performance: 300×250, 728×90, 300×600.
For campaigns that involve the alternation of multiple creative subjects, it is necessary that all display formats are managed in separate redirects by size and audience.

To create the format it is possible to download the jpeg file with the graphic examples and the psd.

NATIVE IOL format specifications

Title 30 characters including spaces
Text 70 characters including spaces, ALWAYS provide 2 different copies
Advertiser Max 25 characters (including spaces)
Image format JPEG, GIF
Image 1 (rectangular format) 1200×627 px, ALWAYS provide 2 different images
Image 2 (square format) 128×128
Maximum image weight 1) Desktop: 200 KB
2) Mobile: 12KB
Redirect No: the format is managed directly by Italiaonline

Instructions for creativity

Obligatory:

  • No text or logos should appear in the images
    Limit the use of brands and prices in titles to the bare minimum
    Do not exceed the recommended number of characters
    Due to the Native nature of the format, 2 images and 2 different copies are necessarily required which will rotate in A/B tests

    Recommended:
  • Use an evocative image, not strictly of the product, that calls to action
    Write complete sentences
    Give as much information as possible in a concise form
    Use humor or ask questions to pique the audience’s interest and capture their attention
    Make a promise, propose the solution to a need

Links and tracking

Link

URL must be sent separately to Italiaonline. It’s necessaty each creativity to have a single URL associated and only the final URL. The URLS in redirect are not avaiable. Send to Italiaonline a link with a domain (eg: http://adv.italiaonline.it …).
In the case of HTML5 creativities, it’s necessary not to put the URL into the creativity.

Tracking  – Click count

You can use third-party tags for tracking clicks, following the directions in the Redirect chapter, or alternatively you can provide clickcommand (tracking URLs) compatible with AdWords.
